| Russia, with its vodka, caviar, tsars, the revolution and Stalin is a country with vast open steppes, friendly locals and a rich history. Founded by Viking Rurik in 862 and united by the wave of Christianity that hit the area in the 10th and 11th century, it occupies most of Eastern Europe and north Asia. Russians are fun loving people that enjoy a good sing along and getting together with friends and family for a big party. Russians really have a huge zest for life and it is no wonder they do. From what they?ve had to endure in past times it only makes sense that they now enjoy their new found freedom with everything they got.
Russia enjoyed a tremendous real estate and property boom when Russia went independent in 1992. Housing prices skyrocketed and property development went crazy in the big cities. In 1998 the country experienced a huge financial crisis and many properties lost their value by up to 75 %. For real estate investors this has meant that they could snap up some great bargains in the making as the market slowly rises again.
